ILP 2 - Day 1 - Update 2

Ok - Day 1 of 'Building Futures' went really well with all the students recording and editing video. Tomorrow is re-shoot and edit day. The variety of work and the creative response from students was excellent. I am really looking forward to seeing the finished work. Will try to upload some rough cuts early on Day 2.

Here are some more pics:

ILP 2 Day 1 - Update

Filming has commenced!

ILP 2 - Day 1

Building futures is underway - year 8 pupils are creating and exploring how they will get to school in the future. They came up with an amazing array of ideas including:

Teleporting
Underground ball
Shrink ray with each person having a mini school in their home
Being zapped into the Internet
Hover car
Robotic wings

Surfing to school if the polar ice caps melt

and many more.

They are now making models, fleshing out their ideas, learning to use flash.

Green Day - When I Come Around

This is a classic 90's track, great video and an excellent example of dual narrative / lip syncing!

"Kick it Root Down" - The Beastie Bpys

This video from the Beastie Boys meets pretty much all the codes and conventions of music video - lip syncing; fast paced edits; cross disolves; still image use; panning and zooming; editing footage to pace of music; use of text...ch, ch, ch, check-it-out!
